Feds Search Home of Subway Pitchman Jared Fogle For Child Porn (guilty plea entered)

Documents released Wednesday by the U.S. attorney's office in Indianapolis say the 37-year-old Fogle faces one count of travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography.

Fogle became the face of Subway for more than 15 years after shedding more than 200 pounds as a college student, in part by eating the chain's sandwiches. Subway says it has ended its relationship with Fogle.

Among the allegations in the document are that Fogle traveled to New York City to pay for sex acts with minors while he stayed in upscale hotels, and that he knowingly received child pornography secretly produced by the then-director of his charitable foundation.

The document is known as an "information." It's typically used to detail charges when a suspect already has agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors.

I could be wrong, here, but it could be that only the "travel" portion is a Federal offense while the individual acts would be handled by the State(s) in which those acts occurred? If they only had evidence for one such trip, that could explain the single charge.

I did not link the PDF as it breaks tidefans policies on content and because linking directly to a pdf is evil in and of itself. The doc outlines the feds case that Jared is one sick individual. For instance they have his texts between him and a 17 year old prostitute in NYC, that he already had sex with asking her to find him someone younger "the younger the better" was his direct quote. According to the feds this was his MO, go to a city secure a hooker, have sex to make sure she isn't a cop then ask her to hook him up with young girls for a fee. Wonder how many times he got away with this?

Oh and it also seems like the guy that ran his foundation was there to provide him child porn. Yikes. Both of these guys should rot in prison if true

I'm guessing it will be the five years minimum (hate to be him behind bars - "How's that feel, fats?") Plus the five years in federal supervision. He's got good lawyers, so I doubt more than that. Depends on the judge...
