For purely speculative discussion, most of the ? are on offense.
I figure Coker will win out the QB job.
Battle between Ronnie Clark and Damien Harris for #3 RB will be interesting
WR: Daylon Charlot, Calvin Ridley, Richard Mullaney - where will these guys land on the chart??
TE: Can freshman Hale Hentges get playing time early?
OL: will Grant Hill play this year or is he done? Can Lester Cotton take somebody's job? Is Bradley Bozeman ready for the prime time? Is Dominick Jackson? or for that matter Ross Pierschbacher
Defensively everybody is pretty much set. Ronnie Harrison might keep pushing the starters at safety.
You mean Organizational GroupingsWhat will it look like this season on both O and D? Anyone have any links or predictions?
I think all of these guys will see time on the field, and in many cases, more than a little. If the front 7 can spend a fairly significant amount of time somewhere in the O`s backfield, I think the secondary will be fine.I'll take a crack at the defense:
DE - Jarran Reed, Dalvin Tomlinson, Josh Frazier
NT - A'Shawn Robinson, Darren Lake, Josh Frazier
DE - Jonathan Allen, DJ Pettway, D'Shawn Hand
SAM - Denzel Devall, Dillon Lee, Christian Miller
MIKE - Reggie Ragland, Shaun Hamilton, Walker Jones
WILL - Reuben Foster, Dillon Lee, Keith Holcombe
JACK - Ryan Anderson, Tim Williams, Rashaan Evans
CB - Tony Brown, Bradley Sylve, Maurice Smith
CB - Cyrus Jones, Marlon Humphrey, Anthony Averett
SS - Eddie Jackson, Hootie Jones, Ronnie Harrison
FS - Geno Smith, Ronnie Harrison, Jabriel Washington
STAR - Maurice Smith
MONEY - Ronnie Harrison
Good job! That is some seriously scary talent across the board.I'll take a crack at the defense:

I agree, but it is not just the football intellectuals. We, as Bama fans, were a spoiled bunch even before Coach Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa. Now, we are even more so. I am trying to relax and just enjoy the games more, but I'm still disappointed any year that we don't win 'em all.I think our Secondary is going to be much more of a strength than people think. We finally have some upperclassmen at the CB position and safety....and some amazing 5* talent as Freshmen and Sophomores.....I think they will totally blossom this year. Plus with our DL and LB corp.....the "time to throw" time for the other teams will "hopefully" be shrinking.....which can only help.
I love it when we start getting the football intellectuals doubting Bama.....people act like it's been 20 years since a Championship.....it's been 2 -- and both of those years were technically one play away each from them having won another 1 or 2....
RTR! I'm pumped for the season.
I don't really recall Black having a significant amount of drops.WR1: Robert Foster - Calvin Ridley
WR2: Chris Black - Richard Mullaney
Slot: Ardarius Stewart - Raheem Falkins - Daylon Charlot
note: Chris Black has had too many drops in the past, he could lose his starting job but will be in the rotation no matter what.
Dakota Ball has dropped 26 pounds to get to 254. I suspect he'll be ahead of Hentges for the sole purpose of blocking.Tight End: OJ Howard - Ty Flournoy-Smith - Hale Hentges
Who's your source on the change at LT? I'm afraid they're overestimating Cam's recovery abilities and his strength and size. :wink:LT: Cameron Sims - Lester Cotton
LG: Ross Pierschbacher - Dallas Warmack
C: Ryan Kelly - JC Hassenauer
RG: Bradley Bozeman - Josh Casher
RT: Dominick Jackson - Richie Petitbon
Note: We are really low on tackles, if Grant Hill returns to the team he will be in the two deep if not start.
Ryan Anderson played more Sam last season. I suspect he'll remain there. Evans isn't jumping Devall, either. Saban tends to always go with the older, more experienced player in that situation.Jack: Tim Williams - Ryan Anderson
Mike: Reggie Ragland - Dillon Lee - Keith Holcombe
Will: Reuben Foster - Shawn Hamilton - Joshua McMillon
Sam: Rashaan Evans - Denzel Devall - Christian Miller
Note: Alabama still moving toward a smaller but faster linebacker corps capable of running down mobile QB's and the HUNH offense
It's not the total number of drops as it is the drops come on what would have been his bigger plays. It's an opinion onlyI don't really recall Black having a significant amount of drops.
you got me there.Who's your source on the change at LT? I'm afraid they're overestimating Cam's recovery abilities and his strength and size.
I am speculating that Anderson because of his size and the fact that he's been able to maintain his speed might move to Jack. Historically you are very correct that Saban has stuck with the older players but the 2012 championship is starting to look awfully small in the rear view mirror and I believe Saban may shake it up this year. Evens I believe is a special player. Auburn in particular couldn't stop him coming off the edge. I haven't seen that kind of speed in a very long time from an Alabama linebacker.Ryan Anderson played more Sam last season. I suspect he'll remain there. Evans isn't jumping Devall, either. Saban tends to always go with the older, more experienced player in that situation.
