Thanks for sharing that, Redwood. I haven't had time to go search for every poll, and this was nice to see. Don't know about anybody else, but I like it when we don't start the season at the top of the polls.

Anyone notice the USA Today poll?

Auburn #2
Bama #4
Ole Miss #14
LSU #18

But, predicts that LSU wins the SEC West

^^This, that being said I don't know why anyone has Auburn above us since we beat them and they lost to two teams last year that got beat 59-0. Maybe JJ/Muschamp hype.

What is everybody seeing in the Barn that I am missing?
The basic assumptions are:

1) Muschamp will revitalize the defense to the 2006 level

2) The difficult games are home except (IIRC) LSU

3) The OOC is not too terribly challenging

4) Gus's offense is the greatest thing ever invented, better than sex, sliced bread, and frequent flier miles all rolled into one.

5) They return a lot of starters (of course, the 2012 team still had a lot of guys who were on the 2010 championship team but it didn't help)

Auburn is an 8-5 team yearly. Offset 3-9 with 12-2 and what do you get? If you round, 8-5. What were they in 2009 and 2011 and 2014? 8-5, 8-5, and 8-5. Since Saban showed up, Auburn is an 8-5 football team on average every single year. They were 9-4 and 5-7 those first two years. Average? 7-5.

If Auburn is awesome this year then prepare to see them implode next year. If they implode to 3-9, they'll be in the title game next year.

Maybe because:

a) the QB who passed for 312 yards is gone
b) the WR who caught three TDs in the Iron Bowl and 224 yards is gone
c) the runners who accounted for 161 of the 227 rushing yards are gone
d) the only person who put any points on the board for us who is playing this year is Adam Griffith

Very well said but what booger eaters believe don't make it so. We played aMuskrat defense a couple of times TX & FL how did that work out.

I think they miss payroll & file chapter 11.

They play nine of the top-27. The SEC has 8 teams ranked in the top-25 and 10 ranked in the top-27 (including the entire western division).
I see the AP has joined with ESPN on SEC conspiracy.

OMG! Every poll listed has at least SEVEN SEC teams in top 25. Now that is a CONSPIRACY!
