The thought of our ST coaches screwing him up is what is scary. He's deadly. If he just repeats last year's performance I'll be thrilled. The thought of him improving is scary.

1st round? Idk about all that now. I think it would be pretty amazing if he went in round 2 or 3 thoughUnless something weird happens, we`ll have JK this year and next, then hopefully he`ll make history by being drafted in the first round. If it weren`t for the fact that we only see him when the offense bogs down, I actually enjoy watching him kick, he`s so special.
No doubt. Many people don't realize how much he affected some games.JK Scott won us a few games last year, imo. He can completely flip the field and makes it very hard on opposing offenses.
Sigh...The thought of our ST coaches screwing him up is what is scary.
Wasnt he a walk on?JK Scott won us a few games last year, imo. He can completely flip the field and makes it very hard on opposing offenses.

Look I played against kickers in HS that ended up at Bama. They put the ball 20 yds through the goalposts on kick offs in HS. Couldn't get it past the 5 in college. I know they didn't lengthen the field in college. And we've not always had the most sound special teams. Kickers generally get better in their own accord Not because a school has an excellent kicking coach. I couldn't name a school that actually has a kicking specialist on staff.Yeah because we have terrible coaches ...
No, he was recruited by Bobby Williams.Wasnt he a walk on?
No, he was recruited by Bobby Williams.
Had offers from Colorado and Notre Dame as well as Bama.
I'm not sure, but the three finalists were the three punters with the highest average in the country at the time. And the one that won had the highest of the three. At the time of the award presentation, JK was ranked 3rd, but went to #1 after the Ohio State game.I didn't know the stats were that good either.
What was the reasoning for not winning the Ray Guy award?
Was he the Aussie that kicked for them?I'm not sure about being drafted, but Brad Wing from LSU left early.

I hope he has very few chances to have much of a field to flip.I can't wait to see Scott flipping the field for Bama every chance he gets! He is a big weapon for our team.
That`s the conundrum. May be a once in a generation talent that you hope never gets a chance to demonstrate that talent.I hope he has very few chances to have much of a field to flip.

I can't understand how a ST coach could minus over 20 yards per kick :eek2: How could a coach cause me to kick 33% less?Look I played against kickers in HS that ended up at Bama.
