Alabama head coach Avery Johnson announced on Wednesday that Kobie Baker has been hired as the special assistant to the head coach/senior director of basketball operations. Baker returns to Tuscaloosa, where he spent three years in the program as the director of basketball operations (2006-07), assistant basketball coach (2007-08) and athletics development officer (2008-09).
