We got just a few more points and gave up just a few more points than the average prediction, but overall I'd say the group did a pretty solid job. I, for one, would love to see this statistical analysis continue for future games. Thanks!I decided to do some late-night tallying of our Tidefans' score predictions for this game and, thus far, here is what we are predicting will happen...
Out of 88 individual predictions (including JessN's preview):
88 have picked Bama to win.
The average score prediction is 31-11.
The median score prediction is 31-10.
The most common score prediction is 27-10.
The most common Bama score prediction is 31.
The most common Wisconsin score prediction is 10.
23 predict that we hold Wisconsin to single digits.
Assuming scores of 9 and <7 means no TDs, 19 predict that Bama yields no TDs.
28 predict Bama will score 35 or more points.
44 predict Bama will win by 21 points or more.
4 are predicting a Bama shutout.
Seems like most people are quite confident in a Bama win!
Excluding melvinm's atrociously late prediction, here is how the Tidefans' collective (including JessN's and Phil Steele's listed predictions and the second of a couple amended picks) predicted the game would go:

27 predicted that we would hold Wisconsin to single digits.

So, the general consensus of a comfortable Bama win was accurate. And, truth be told, the final score was probably more indicative of the game-plan and play-calling than the difference between the two teams. Coming out overly conservative and trying to get backups a lot of meaningful snaps in the second half led to this game probably being much closer than it should have been.
As for the predictions, wille52 was the first and only user to correctly predict the final score of 35-17 - So CONGRATULATIONS WILLIE52!!! You win...
