I saw that too and while I shouldn't have been, I was rather gobsmacked. Yay SEC!

The biggest issue though is that those 119 guys beat themselves up in the regular season. A lot of people bashed how the SEC finished in the bowl games, but in doing so they glossed over how dominating the SEC West was before they started to beat each other up.

Yep - it is a reminder of just how tough your schedule really is this year. Having this much talent in the SEC seems like a great thing - for the rest of college football.

The distribution of the talent around the league makes it prone to self-elimination from the playoffs. In some conferences, all of the talent goes to one or two individual schools and then it just stacks the deck in those teams' favor.
