AUBURN, AL. (AP) —University of Auburn Bag Man Aubie Fain goobeR is facing legal troubles again. An Auburn police spokesman said goobeR was arrested on Tuesday after he struck a pedestrian while riding a mule on a sidewalk near campus and left the scene. In an email, the spokesman said the pedestrian suffered "non-life-threatening" injuries, with an accident report stating the pedestrian suffered an injury to the right hand that required stitches.

goobeR was later located at the parking deck of his nearby townhouse/mobil home complex on wire road where he was taken into custody without incident.

According to a magistrate's report, goobeR was charged Tuesday night with a misdemeanor of failing to provide his name, address and other personal information or "reasonable assistance" to the injured pedestrian. A dumb animal traffic citation states goobeR is also charged with riding on the sidewalk and operating an unregistered mule.

goobeR and the pedestrian were headed toward each other on the sidewalk at the time of the incident with the pedestrian attempting to take a large brown bag from goobeR. “That bag warnt hissen, he aint hepped us get no players,” goobeR was overheard to say.

Last year's leading money raiser recently returned from a two-game suspension for a violation of athletic department booster policy. It was the booster’s third suspension, with the first two coming after brushes with the NCAA 2010.

Auburn athletics spokesman V. R. Karupt said Wednesday the school is gathering information on the incident and that goobeR was attending the team's morning academic player tutoring session but wouldn't be available for interviews.

"I haven't had a chance to deal with it yet," coach Gustopholis Maleficence said Wednesday afternoon on his regularly scheduled appearance on the Big Cat Tiger War Eagle Prowl Fundraiser Payoff/Transfer tactic session. "As soon as I have all the information, after we determine the REC is behind this frame up, I'll make a statement on what I'm going to do."

The police spokesman said he cooperated with police. "I understand that he was polite, cooperative and gave the officers a full statement about what happened, and offered everyone a free ride on his cow," Turner said.

goobeR sat out the 2011 Booster opener session after being charged with misdemeanor assault on a Mississippi State booster/bag man. goobeR received counseling through a deferred-prosecution agreement that ultimately led to the dismissal of that charge.

In December 2012, goobeR was indefinitely suspended after authorities cited him for misdemeanor simple possession of casino and unrecorded Colonial Bank transaction electronic paraphernalia. Turner said charges were later dismissed, leading to his reinstatement during last year's booster training camp to avoid sitting any booster activities.

Last year goobeR was arrested and charged with mental cruelty to a cow but the charges were later droped after the cow was proven to have an I.Q. Higher than goobeR’s. goobeR was riding the cow under the trees at Toomer’s Corner and had rolls of toilet paper stacked on the cows horns while hollering War Cam Eagle.

As goobeR prepared to return from his suspension Gustopholis was asked about the number of chances he's given goobeR, a native of Skunk Hollow, AL. He said then that goobeR had been "the best him that he's been since I've been here" and that he had learned from his mistakes to never get caught passing the bag again.
