Exactly. Before his HS coach was hired I felt good about our chances. The fact that his HS coach is there now maybe a little be too much to overcome. Gary seems to be giving Michigan a lot of love in the last few months.

Everyone thought Hand was going to Michigan also. Harbaugh, and the improvement this season, makes it much tougher to recruit against.
Historically even outstanding defensive lineman had to reshirt at Alabama but in 2016 I see no choice but to play a minimum of two and possibly as many as four depending on injuries. Seems like kids would just want to know where to sign their name.
Anyone have any info on how we are looking for D- line recruits? I know we have Quinnen Williams, Kendall Jones, and Raekwon Davis. We lose Darren Lake, Jarren Reed and DJ Pettway to eligibility while Ashawn Robinson and Jonathan Allen are potential draft picks.
Starters I'm assuming would be Dalvin Tomlinson, Dashawn Hand and Daron Payne. Backups would be only OJ Smith and Joshua Frazier.

Honestly Recruiting @ BAMA Starts the moment the SEC Title game is over. So whatever your board looks like whip it clean. A. Robinson wasn't a big thought or possibility until January of that year. Yes we will have turnover in the Coaching staff ,but always remember Saban is the Leader. Kirby hurts ,but at one time who knew him or multiple other coaches i.e. Pruitt.
That`s why it wouldn`t surprise if CNS doesn`t already have a replacement for CKS already lined up and ready to hit the trail the next day, literally.
Unless he wants to be a big fish in a shrinking pond ....
The loss of Muschamp and the general sense of decay hanging over the AU program would appear to improve our odds.
Dee Liner transferred out didn't he? I think he left us, especially when he found himself buried in the depth chart with all these guys we have

I disagree. We are losing some great players, yes absolutely. BUT...We have great players waiting in the wings. We have great TRUE freshmen (who are a part of the reason why we are in the playoffs). We have some great recruits. We have a great coach. I am remain optimistic.
BTW, any updates on whether Tim Williams will be with us next year?
I certainly have no inside information, but I see Williams as a pass rush specialist right now. He needs to prove he can play on downs that are not 2nd and 8+ or 3rd and 5+.
Purely as a pass rusher, I think he's ready. But NFL teams have only 53 active roster spots. They don't generally commit one of those to such a narrow specialist.
My guess is that Williams needs a senior year in which he shows he can be effective against the run and in pass coverage.
Hope there are JuColl or transfers headed our way, that are physically ready to play against SEC off lines and that Davis can get mentally prepared. Would be even better if on the team for spring drills.
Also hope Johnny Dwight and OJ Smith are ready to take major roles in 2016.

We will get some hosses. Thing is, D-Line will not be our strength next year like it is this year. Our strengths will be at other positions (hopefully QB is one of them) but we will continue to be strong and compete at the highest level...that will always be the case as long as Coach is running the program.
