Entering the 1990 ALABAMA-LSU game in Tuscaloosa, the Crimson Tide had not defeated the Tigers at home in four attempts. Alabama led only 7-3 entering the fourth quarter, but outscored LSU 17-0 to prevail by a final count of 24-to-3.

Freshman CHRIS ANDERSON, who rushed for a game-high 116 rushing yards on 15 carries, scored two touchdowns, including this 46-yard sprint which put the final nail in the Tigers' coffin.

I was at that game and remember it well. It was my second Bama/LSU game to attend( the '86 night game @LF was the first) Nice sunny weather that day as I recall and everyone was talking about breaking LSU 's string of victories as a visitor in the series that day. It was a great day to be a Bama fan.

I still say 1990 was Gene Stallings best defense at Alabama. They went something like 14 qtrs or some crazy number like that without giving up a touchdown. They also completely shutdown a high powered Tennessee offense that was one of their best.

I was at that game too

Chris Anderson was (probably is, haven't seen him in decades) a good dude. He was a regular on the pool tables at the old Houdstooth for a while. Solid pool player too
