I figured you just left in the old title and it's known now that it wasn't a sinkhole. In fact, it never looked like one to me. They are basically collapsed limestone caverns and I've never seen one that long and narrow. OTOH, your first link was about 4/5 about the UM situation, which has been moved to NS...
