Seems that every time Obama makes a pronouncement, the exact opposite within 12 hours manifests itself to prove him either a fool or an incompetent.

If Tom Clancy wrote this stuff, it would be categorized under Satire.

It's a good argument since we don't have any veterans, widows of servicemen, or homeless women and children of our own who need help.

Exactly. Even if these refugees are not a threat (which some are, as Paris has proven), why do we need to take in people who are going to immediately (and perhaps permanently) go on the dole?

The extent of my charity would be to provide one-way airfare to the Middle Eastern country of their choice, where they can enjoy the same language, culture, climate, etc. that they are used to.

After all that has happened we continue to allow free access to the US to people who have no intentions of assimilating to our way of living. They want to come here and force their principals and beliefs on us. These people who come with nothing, and have to be provided for with sustenance, lodging and income all at the expense of the American people. This happens while thousands of our own people, including veterans, are left to sleep in cardboard boxes in the streets. Man we have entire families with children going hungry, and would stay hungry if not for the generosity of churches and every day Americans, while the new arrivals are helped by the government who turn a crusted over eye to our own. Sickeningly they are openly bringing in people who have no love for this country, who only want what it can give them, and among their numbers are those who wish to destroy us, no, wipe us off the face of the earth.

The bottom line is before anyone from that region is let in they need to be vetted thoroughly regardless of age or gender but young males certainly have more potential to do evil. At this time we have very little ability to vet anyone even close to that well.

I'll sleep real well at night knowing the same jack arses who have run the VA into the ground and who couldn't even launch a new health care initiative on computer despite delaying it nearly five years after lying about being able to keep my doctor will be the same ones deciding who is safe to enter the country and who isn't.

In those other debacles, the HHS secretary and VA head resigned; maybe Obama ought to follow their examples.

So just a few days after the worst terrorist in several years...our President...while on foreign soil says the big problem is Republicans wanting to put a pause on unchecked Syrian refugees.
