James Hetfield is from CA, Lars, the drummer is from Denmark and Robert from CA.

I seem to recall that one year, they had a senior on the team who could play guitar and they filmed him playing the opening to the song. The video was shown on senior night to start the game.

That is very cool. I am a huge Metallica fan as well. I have almost every CD (ask you parents kids) they ever made. I am only missing St. Anger.

As a lifelong Yankee fan, I loved this. They performed a farewell for "The Sandman" at Yankee stadium.
