Knock Jackets down while they are wobbly
Georgia coach Mark Richt said this week that Georgia Tech just as easily could be 8-3. Maybe it’s bad luck. It also could be a team that can’t finish games. Georgia needs to add to the Jackets’ misery if the game is in the balance.
“It's kind of been a situation where every game, for the most part, we've been in and we find a way to self-implode,” Yellow Jackets coach Paul Johnson said. “I don't know if that's just playing young guys or it's just our turn.”
Don’t fumble it away
Georgia lost two fumbles against Georgia Southern last week and twice at the Yellow Jackets’ 1-yard line in a loss last season. Georgia Tech has seven turnovers in the last two games. The Yellow Jackets’ 13 lost fumbles are tied for second most in the nation.

Georgia needs to play with passion but not go overboard with ill-advised penalties in what could be a chippy rivalry game. Georgia Tech leads the nation in fewest penalties with 3.3 per game and is second in fewest penalty yards with 28.7.
Playmakers make plays again
Leonard Floyd and Jordan Jenkins rose up to make plays in overtime to stop Georgia Southern’s upset bid a week ago. The Bulldogs need their impact players to come up with game-changing plays once again. That includes safety Dominick Sanders, who has a team-high four interceptions, and senior receiver Malcolm Mitchell.
