6) Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
5) The Santa Clause
4) Elf
3) Home Alone
2) It's a Wonderful Life
1) Christmas Story (Christmas Day tradition)

There are a few others like Miracle on 34th Street & The Little Drummer Boy that I enjoy as well. They bring back great childhood memories.

Die Hard. I never have thought of it as a Christmas movie, but you're right. Classic.

Christmas Vacation is by far the best. I also love Jingle all the Way. As much as I have to admit it I still love watching Rudolph. Nostalgia I guess.

2. It's a Wonderful Life
3. Miracle on 34th Street
4. A Christmas Carol (The earlier version the better)
5. Christmas in Connecticut
6. Holiday Inn
7-10 All of the Claymation Christmas movies.

12. Elf (Though I usually refuse to watch this one with her.)


At first, I didn't think I would have 10 to list. However, thinking about movies she or I usually make a point to watch around the holidays because they're set around the holidays and/or are always showing around the holidays actually made it pretty easy to come up with more than 10.

I agree with your sentiments regarding A Christmas Carol.

Strange as it may sound, I also like A Muppet Christmas Carol, starring Michael Caine.

- Elf

Gremlins and Die Hard, but I don't really consider them "Christmas" movies, although Home Alone I probably do.
