Alabama kicker commit Eddy Pineiro is just showing off.Pineiro drilled the following 77-yard field goal in practice, and he proved it on his Twitter account. He’s rated as the country’s top overall kicker and a three-star prospect for the class of 2016, according to 247Sports.
How impressive is a 77-yard field goal? Well, the NFL record for longest field goal belongs to current Detroit Lions kicker Matt Prater, who kicked a 64-yard field goal for the Denver Broncos in 2013.
Although Pineiro is an Alabama commit, the Florida Gators are making a strong push to land him. The Gators are in desperate need of landing an impact kicker, and he visited Gainesville for the FSU game.

I do like that he has Tide stuff all over his twitter. Perhaps he really wants to come to T-Town

I saw a pic on Twitter where he was riding around in a car with Coach Mac not long ago. Coach Mac knows they need a fg kicker pretty bad.

Hope he stays with the Tide though...but is AG a Jr. or Sr.?

That could make all the difference.

UF is making a strong push for him and it will be a fight to keep him for sure. We could very easily lose him.

Griffith is a Junior this year.

I think he goes to Florida by the time signing day comes around. We have Griffith who is finally coming into form and is on fire right now and I do not think Pineiro would or should wait around to start because he's obviously a rare talent.

Kicking a 40 yard+ FG with 6'3' 300 pounders trying to block it is a totally different scenario though than kicking it in warm ups. Would be nice having him though after AG leaves.
