As it stands now, Bama has won 15 NCs. Going for #16 tonight!!!
But where do we stand against other schools and their "claimed" NCs??? Of course we are #1, but do you realize how far everyone else is behind Bama???
I came across this article from 2014 that measures SEC schools National Championships in football.

The #2 team on the list, UT, only claims 6 NC, and their last one was in the 20th Century in 1998, the year Bama's freshmen were likely born.
Florida claims 3; all since 1996.
LSU claims 3; 2 of those they can probably thank CNS for.
Ole Miss claims 3; their last in the early 1960's.
Texas A&M claims 3, their last in 1939.
Georgia claims 2; their last over 30 years ago (good luck Kirby).
Little Brother claims 2. One with a Scam artist and the other from 1957 when they were API.

If we win tonight's game, we'll own 4 NCs in the last 7 years. For perspective:No. 1 – Alabama
All-time record: 838-323-43 (.714)
Bowl record: 34-23-3
Claimed national titles: 15
Conference titles: 27 (23 SEC, 4 Southern)
Nick Saban has Alabama extending its lead on the rest of the SEC.
There really isn’t much that needs to be said to justify ranking Alabama No. 1.
Among SEC teams, the Crimson Tide rank No. 1 in all-time winning percentage, bowl wins, claimed national titles and conference titles.
Alabama is only expanding on its lead, too, having won three national titles since 2009.
Is there any SEC team that could seriously close the gap in the coming decade? It’s doubtful.
