Beating Florida the year of tebow'e cry and bama this year is the closest OM will get to an actual national championships l. So the little babies enjoy their meaningless win.
Wow that's a very strong September for the Sooners. If you win those two, you might blow through the Big12!The Buckeyes come to Norman on 9/17/16. We will do our best to send them back to Columbus with their collective tails between their legs. Of course, we have to get past the Houston Cougars on 9/3 at NRG first.
Saw that. He drew a round of applause from the studio crew. I don't usually follow him, but I got a day ahead and went to the SEC network looking for the Vandy game. They were rerunning that. I watched to the end. He did a good job...You might dislike Finebaum but I think we all despise OSU more. He is in the press for shutting one down 2 days ago on air, it was pretty comical. Paul just got fed up "Buckeye this and buckeye that", and went off and hung up.
I am guilty of listening to him, really for comic relief more than insight. OSU fans are in a league of their own, they will use things like they have a better veterinarian program as a defense for their football program. I have never heard anything like it, they have the biggest chip on the shoulder than any fan base bar none. Auburn and LSU are lightweights compared to them. The Ohio State University says it all, got to have that "The" in front. Usually contained Finebaum just had enough, after listening to them all year. Buckeye bob, buckeye Jim, buckeye Lary, it just goes on and on and on, same message, they are the best team. Underachieving team if you ask me.Saw that. He drew a round of applause from the studio crew. I don't usually follow him, but I got a day ahead and went to the SEC network looking for the Vandy game. They were rerunning that. I watched to the end. He did a good job...
It would until a Buckeye friend of mine passed around a meme that had John Saunders interviewing Saban with the bubbles of Saunders asking how he was successful and Saban saying, "Avoid Urban Meyer" or something like that.I don't think the title is accurate. Shouldn't it be Two Ohio State players need to shut up? If it was more than two then I missed it.
What about when they pulled this?never gets old posting this...
Now I wonder If they add 2015 Western Division Champs since Will Grier was on performance enhancing supplements....
The definition of insanity is to do the same thing and expect a different outcome. Hotty Toddy Everybody! What about when they pulled this?
The official name is the American Football Coaches Association National Championship Trophy; it was given this permanent name by the association in 2006. In 2009, the AFCA allowed universities to buy replica trophies for any year a school finished first in the Coaches' Poll prior to the trophy's creation in 1986.
I mean, I looked it up on CFB Data Warehouse. They have two "recognized" national championships but none of them are AFCA poll (the crystal football) or even the AP poll. I am not sure where they get three from..because the most inclusive datasource has Ole Miss at two championships.
They are claiming 1959, 1960, and 1962 by the way.
Don't both teams play in the same weather? It would until a Buckeye friend of mine passed around a meme that had John Saunders interviewing Saban with the bubbles of Saunders asking how he was successful and Saban saying, "Avoid Urban Meyer" or something like that.
The butt hurt from Columbus is hilarious. And I'm not a knee-jerk despiser of Ohio State but this has brought out the worst in some of them.
However, on one of the boards I saw there was at least a voice of rationale - I can't link it due to language but:
=============
Bamas defense was much better this year. They would have stopped the run. The key to beating Bamas D is to attack the edges.
OSU had no passing game this year and the Oline was pourous. Bama got to the QB better than any team in the country by simply bringing four. OSU won last year by attacking teams downfield combined with a great running game. No attacking downfield this year.
(Deleted) and Ashe would have refused to run blitz, so Bama would chew the clock like MSU.
17-13 Bama.
OSU has a ton of talent, more than Bama. But we simply didn't see it all year.

HOWEVER.......I will admit I LOVED this excuse since it is Ohio State fans who whine the loudest about "the SEC won't play road games up north in November' - remember that excuse as you read the following:
I think this is the game of the century everyone would have loved to have seen. Say what you want about Ohio state but at the end of the season it was a defending champion who's only hiccup was a last second defeat in a game that had the worst weather conditions we've seen.

So apparently, even northern teams don't like to play up north in the winter time.
Unless they stole 'em, no.So do they have any Crystal footballs on display?
