This is why Dabo is going crazy after the onside. He said in his presser he was just trying to argue the same thing that happened to them against USCe last year. In that case, Clemson didn't give the receiving team a chance to catch the ball by coming in contact with the South Carolina player that was trying to catch the ball (kick-catch interference). However, there were no Clemson players within 5 yards of the ball when Marlon caught it and no Bama players make contact with anyone in orange.

Special teams was been huge this season. The problem with special teams has usually been with the specialists and to be fair I wouldn't expect most coaches to know much in the way of kicking or punting anyway.With how the offense needed time to develop, the team needed special teams to be a difference maker at times. We had some bad moments on special teams this year but overall they were a huge factor. The special teams had a couple of bad moments in the TAMU game which almost allowed them to make a push...other than that, they've been pretty solid.
