With OJ, Reuben, EJ, Allen, Williams and Anderson staying....does that mean we sign 6 less than we thought we would?
Wouldn't players like Chris Black help when it comes to that? With OJ, Reuben, EJ, Allen, Williams and Anderson staying....does that mean we sign 6 less than we thought we would?
My bad, with players like him transferring out help in that regard. Not sure what you are asking

We typically sign 25 every year so it does not mean we sign 6 less. It may slightly change the priority of the guys we are recruiting at those positions that these guys play but I don't really think it changes a lot. With OJ, Reuben, EJ, Allen, Williams and Anderson staying....does that mean we sign 6 less than we thought we would?
Don't we have a good many graduated players leaving this year.....more than usual? We typically sign 25 every year so it does not mean we sign 6 less. It may slightly change the priority of the guys we are recruiting at those positions that these guys play but I don't really think it changes a lot.
I don't know how it will affect recruiting but it should affect the leadership on the team next year and hopefully transfer to this incoming class because they will be the only class recruited by Saban without a national championship. With OJ, Reuben, EJ, Allen, Williams and Anderson staying....does that mean we sign 6 less than we thought we would?
You cannot "enroll" more than 25 in any one class...no matter how many vacancies you may have. You can sign more knowing that some will not qualify...but 25 in any one class is the firm limit. If I count correctly, we have 24 players leaving the program. That includes 2 juniors Robinson and Henry, two transfers Morris and Black, and 18 scholarship seniors. This is assuming that Nysewander and Barrineau are on scholarship. I remember reading at some point they were on scholarship. I believe we will sign more than 25 if we can make it fit. There is always some attrition.

You can sign more than 25 if some are back-counters. You can only sign 25 (per NCAA) that would apply to this year's class.Question, can you over sign if you can back count to last years class?
Pretty sure that's an SEC rule. You can only sign 25 (per NCAA) that would apply to this year's class.
