There are a multitude of reasons why USC football took a dive the past 2 years, but one not talked about much was a turnover in the S&C staff and the athletic training staff in Columbia. USC had top notch people in both, but did not replace them well and it showed in poorer conditioned players and more games missed due to injuries.

It cannot be over-emphasized how important having such a good staff/team is for Bama.

Wish Prothro could have benefited more from this. He might have been in the NFL as a result. Glad Drake was able to get it. His TD run was such a thing of beauty and he deserved every single inch of it. What an effort by a young man who a couple of years ago I didn't think was going to be able to stay on the team.

Just Roll Tide is all...the process works, and so does the technology evidently.
Prothro was a sore spot, but his leg was exposed to the elements big time and it was higher up than drake. It may have just flat out been a career ending injury regardless.

I don't know how we could have a better or more objective advertising for the care our athletes receive - both to minimize the occurrence of injuries, and to rehab the ones that are unavoidable.

We should send a copy of this article to every high school coach, every recruit and every recruit's mother.
