Report: OL Richie Petitbon Tears ACL During Scrimmage

Alabama redshirt freshman offensive guard Richie Petitbon suffered a torn ACL during the Tide's scrimmage on Saturday, sources told AL.com.

Petitbon has already undergone surgery, according to those sources.

All that rolling up of legs in that mish mash in the middle, I`m actually surprised it doesn`t happen more often than it does. If they all didn`t wear braces on both knees.....

No... but I expect him to be practicing with the team this fall.. at some point. If Bo can come back from it...

Its amazing how advanced the medical field has become at allowing players to come back from these once career ending knee injuries..The al.com writer stated he's hearing Richie may be back practicing in August with the team..Obviously he doesn't expect him to play this coming season..Here's to a speedy recovery Richie..

Depending on rehab goes, he could be ready to play during the season. He might be too far down depth chart to play then.

Seems to me there would be no reason to rush his recovery, we have good depth.
