TUSCALOOSA, AL - The Crimson Tide travels to Lexington for a three-game series with the 19th-ranked Wildcats over the weekend. The two teams are scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. CT first pitch in the series opener on Friday. Saturday's game is slated for a 1 p.m. CT start with the series finale on Sunday set for a 12 p.m. CT first pitch. All three games of the series will air live on SECN+.
LEADING OFF
Alabama is receiving votes in both the NCBWA and USA Today Coaches Polls. Kentucky is ranked in three of the major polls, including Collegiate Baseball News (13), Baseball America (19) and D1Baseball (21). The Wildcats are also receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Wildcats welcome the Crimson Tide to Lexington after going 2-1 last weekend against the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville. UK fell in game one, but rallied for a pair of wins in the final two games to claim the series victory, their third series win in conference play. The Wildcats' midweek game against Louisville was cancelled twice due to weather.
