Georgia hit the practice fields at the Club Sports Complex some five hours after a pair of freshmen early enrollees bonded out of jail on felony charges related to using a BB gun on campus.
Defensive lineman Julian Rochester and defensive back Chad Clay, charged in the incident, weren’t spotted during the media viewing periods Tuesday.
The defensive line position already is missing Michael Barnett with a knee injury. Defensive lineman DaQuan Hawkins (knee) was at least out there with the group in a non-contact jersey but was limited to some running.
Trenton Thompson, John Atkins and Jonathan Ledbetter worked with the No. 1 defense and Justin Young, walk-on Alex Essex and Chauncey Rivers with the No. 2 defense.
Some other observations:
--Wide receiver Shaquery Wilson, who has had some spot work at running back, was with the group during a drill where they dived onto a mat. Sony Michel and Tae Crowder were the first running backs in that drill. Brendan Douglas (wrist) was in a non-contact jersey.
--The starting offensive line was unchanged from Saturday from left to right: Isaiah Wynn, Dyshon Sims, Brandon Kublanow, Lamont Gaillard and Greg Pyke. The second unit looked like this: Kendall Baker, Ben Cleveland, Thomas Swilley, Sam Madden and Aulden Bynum.
--Former Georgia offensive lineman Fernando Velasco, who just signed with the Buffalo Bills, was watching Sam Pittman’s offensive line. Over on the defensive field, former Georgia defensive end Marcus Howard was eyeing the action there.
--Linebackers Chuks Amaechi and Shaun McGee were on stationary bikes in non-contact jerseys. Linebacker Johnny O’Neal was beside them but in a regular jersey.
