He really did, was impressedwith what I saw. I think we are really going to have some impressive QB talent over the next 6-7 years. This kid looked great from what I saw.

Elite 11 is a tournament for QBs, so he had the best performance in a camp made up of the best QB recruits. That sounds very impressive but I don't really understand. Coukd someone explain what is elite 11 MVP and tourney mvp ?
Does anyone know if there was any development on this? The family is looking at moving. The dad spent time in Mobile looking for jobs.
Can't speak to that specifically, but Tua was said to be actively recruiting for Alabama at The Opening and Elite 11 competition.Does anyone know if there was any development on this?
And a ton of people are following like when UF had Tebow. Leatherwood and Cowan are also our biggest recruiters. Can't speak to that specifically, but Tua was said to be actively recruiting for Alabama at The Opening and Elite 11 competition.
Awesome! :cool2:And a ton of people are following like when UF had Tebow. Leatherwood and Cowan are also our biggest recruiters.
Doesn't change what he can or cannot do on the field, so it really doesn't matter, but I agree that it looks like a mistake of some kind.Tua is named the Elite 11 MVP and tourney MVP and 247Sports drops him from #60 to #113 in their latest ranking update after the Opening. This is a major head scratcher.
I think he moved up to 60 from 113I'm not seeing the #113 demotion? He is still listed at #60 on his profile page. Then when you click the rankings list it says it's updated as of today......with Tua still at #60. Maybe they fixed it since you guys checked. I would think he would be moving up the list though. But as B1GTide says it's all irrelevant. You can see the kid is going to be SPECIAL.
Thanks RTR91. Here is the link to the updated composite rankings and it is somewhat confusing to understand. I still don't understand how 247 has him at 116 after his performance last week.Tua is ranked 60th in the 247 Composite rankings. He's ranked 116 by 247, 56 by Rivals, 33 by Scout, and 99 by ESPN.
If Johnson does reclaim the top spot, he'll have to jump two guys instead of one. Alabama commit Tua Tagovailoa is the new No. 2 quarterback in the country after a brilliant spring and summer. He blew us away at every event he attended. From the Pylon 7on7 National Championships, to The Opening Oakland, to the Elite 11 Finals to The Opening Finals, Tagovailoa was just awesome at every stop. He's now ranked No. 34 nationally.
