TUSCALOOSA, AL -
The Crimson Tide welcomes a pair of in-state foes for two midweek contests. The first matchup comes on Tuesday, as Troy visits Tuscaloosa. On Wednesday, Alabama will square off with South Alabama to round out the Tide's current six-game homestand. The Crimson Tide will square off with each team at 6:30 p.m. CT on their respective game days. Both contests will air live on SECN+ with Mick Gillispie and Lance Cormier in the booth.

LEADING OFF

The Trojans come to Tuscaloosa following a 2-1 series win in Jonesboro over Arkansas State this past weekend. Prior to the weekend series, Troy fell, 8-7, to Jacksonville State in a 16-inning affair.

The Jaguars head to the Joe following a 1-2 weekend at Appalachian State. Prior to the conference series, USA defeated Southeastern Louisiana, 2-1, in a midweek home contest on Tuesday of last week.

The Crimson Tide will look to a pair of freshmen this week, first with right-hander Brock Love on Tuesday against Troy. The freshman made his first start on April 5 in game one against Alcorn State, going 3.0 innings and allowing two hits with four strikeouts. Alabama will use righty Kyle Cameron on Wednesday against South Alabama. It will be Cameron's first career start and his 10th overall appearance of the season.

The Trojans call on junior left-hander Evan Herbert for Tuesday's matchup. Herbert will be making his third start of the season and fourth overall appearance. The Jaguars hand the ball over to junior righty Randy Bell on Wednesday. Bell toes the rubber for his fifth start of the year and nine overall appearance for USA.

Tuesday's game will once again be a "Two-for-One" Tuesday, with all grandstand tickets buy one, get one free. The Wednesday matchup is a $5 Wednesday featuring $5 grandstand tickets for all fans.

SERIES HISTORY - TROY

Alabama and Troy will meet for the 32nd time, with the Crimson Tide owning the all-time advantage, 21-10.

The Crimson Tide holds a 17-4 lead in the series when the two teams meet in Tuscaloosa and are currently riding a seven-game winning streak dating back to 2006.

In the first meeting in 1941, Alabama came out victorious, 9-6, in Tuscaloosa as part of a five-game winning streak over the Trojans. Troy would go on to win the next two games in 1979, before UA strung together another five wins from 1991-94.

Troy claimed an 8-4 win in the lone meeting in 1998, but then fell in four of the next five contests.
Since 2007, the team two are near even with Alabama holding a 7-6 advantage.

The two teams met earlier this season on March 1 with the Crimson Tide coming out on top, 2-1, in Troy.

SERIES HISTORY - SOUTH ALABAMA

Alabama and South Alabama will meet for the 106th time in a series that dates back to 1967 when the two teams square off on Wednesday. Alabama holds a 56-49 lead in the series and is 38-17 at home in Tuscaloosa.

The first meeting between the two in-state foes came in 1967. Alabama won both games of the doubleheader on April 19, both by scores of 3-2.

South Alabama earned a 3-0 shutout win over the Tide last season when the two teams squared off at Stanky Field in Mobile.

Alabama has won 14 of the last 15 meetings in Tuscaloosa, dating back to 1995.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE

Alabama has taken advantage of games played in Tuscaloosa at the newly renovated Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

The Crimson Tide owns a 14-5 mark at home compared to an 8-9 record in games away from the Joe.

At home, Alabama is batting .270 (162-599) compared to a .231 (133-576) mark on the road. The Tide has also scored 103 runs at home and only 56 away from Tuscaloosa.

On the pitching side of things, the Crimson Tide arms own a 2.34 ERA (44 ER/169.0 IP) at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, compared to a 4.17 ERA (69 ER/149.0 IP) as the visiting squad.

Alabama's pitchers have used the new park to their advantage, limiting opposing hitters to a .207 (126-608) average at home as opposed to a .288 (165-589) mark on the road.

GASPARD VS. NON-CONFERENCE OPPONENTS

Under head coach Mitch Gaspard's tutelage, Alabama teams are 116-58 (.667) overall in regular season, non-conference matchups across his seven seasons leading the Tide.

The Crimson Tide has had a winning record against non-conference foes in every year except 2012 and has won 18 or more games in all five of those seasons, with a high of 19 in 2010 and 2014.

Alabama is 14-7 against non-conference opponents this season, including a 2-1 series win over then No. 27 Maryland, a sweep of North Dakota and a 3-1 weekend at the USA-Baseball Irish Classic in Cary, N.C.

ON DECK

Following the pair of midweek contests, Alabama will travel to College Station for a weekend series with third-ranked Texas A&M. The Crimson Tide and Aggies are scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. CT start in Friday's opener. Saturday's matchup is set to start at 2 p.m. CT with Sunday's finale slated for a 1 p.m. CT first pitch. All three games will air live on SECN+.
