2012 did not make tournament top 10. Finished SEC 9-21. Also have not won the tournament since 2003. SEC record was 14-16. Seeded #7 out of 8 teams. Defeated LSU for championship 10-3. Of course this was a team coached by Jim Wells.

Going to the final week tied with Vandy for the 7 seed. Unless I missed something, the tie-breaker, at this point, goes all the way down to LSU. If so, Bama wins the tie by virtue of the series win over LSU. Vandy was 1-2 against LSU.

1. Two-Team Tie. The following procedure will be used in the following orderuntil the tie is broken:
A. Won-lost results of head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
B. If two-teams are divisional opponents:
(1) Won-lost percentage within their division (over the 18-game SECdivision schedule).
(2) Won-lost percentage of the two teams versus the No. 1 team in theirdivision (and proceeding through the No. 7 team, if necessary).
C. If two teams are not divisional opponents:
(1) Won-lost record of the two teams versus the No. 1 seed using common opponents only (and proceeding through the No. 12 seed,if necessary).

(2) Coin flip by the Commissioner

I wish they only took eight to Hoover and have a two bracket format and a one game final. But that would mean less money for the league and Hoover hotels and force coaches to work harder. So it won't happen.

That's all good and all, and I would prefer to play #10 UGA over #9 UK, but Vandy has Auburn this week while we have South Carolina. We could very well beat USCE 2/3 but counting on Auburn to get even 1 win may be too much.

Just reporting as of now. Vandy will sweep the barn and get the #7 seed. Even if not, the tie-breaker will change as more common opponents come into play after the final weekend. FWIW, I was correct on the tie-breaker.
