New UCF coach: ‘It’s easier to win at Alabama than it is at Iowa State’-sds

Consider UCF coach Scott Frost as one who thinks victories come easier in Tuscaloosa than at a bottom-feeding Big 12 program.
Frost, who was hired last December after working as Oregon’s offensive coordinator since 2013, spoke with USA Today about the characteristics he sought in a program before becoming a first-time head coach. He mentioned the ability to draw top talent as a big draw.
“Winning is the biggest thing. I’m taking nothing away from any coaches out there, it’s not an accident that coaches at Alabama, Ohio State, Florida and USC, those type of programs win,” Frost told USA Today. “Not to say they’re not great coaches, but those places are built to attract better players than most or all of the people they play, year in, year out. Not that it’s a given that you’re going to win at those places, but it’s easier. It’s easier to win at Alabama than it is at Iowa State.”
There’s something to Frost’s perspective.
However, those reputations at Alabama and other top-tier programs must be earned and maintained. In the Crimson Tide’s case, they must deal with the buzz saw known as the SEC West each year.
