4-3 after a base hit scores one but the LF guns the runner out by 2 steps at home to end the inning.

2nd runner gunned out by the outfield tonight. They are sick of Mainieri like we are Gaspard but at least they still winning most of the time:biggrin:

4-3 UcheaT after 7 now.

A guy with a national championship under his belt would get a lot of leeway at a place like Bama. But not at a school where Skip Bertman was coach for so long.

But did you watch the game? They played the worst 8 innings I've seen them play all year then in the 9th they FINALLY put some hits together. Until that guy put one over the wall in dead center (he just straight killed it, kind of reminded me of Joey Bautista last year minus the dumb bat flip) they were dead to rights. Any other team would have put them out for sure last night.

As for the Florida comment, it wouldn't surprise me either. They always seem to be a threat this time of year. It does seem they are restless with Mainieri though.

YIKES!

When I fell asleep, didn't think there was any way the Corndogs had any life in them.

Hopefully, that battle sapped a lot out of Bazza's team.

However...................they will be playing the worst offense, in the SEC, so what it left of their pitching staff might not have to struggle all that much.

We shall see....................

That game last night was very frustrating to say the least.

I know you've heard it all before (and experienced it as well yourselves!)

No excuses....Florida had their chances and couldn't get the extra runs it needed. Stuff like bases loaded with either no or only 1 out. Batters swinging at pitches IN THE DIRT....I mean 2 batters in a row while base runners in scoring position! :mad:

Of course theirs no bunt or squeeze on....we're just swinging away....:rolleyes:

Then there's the terrible call at home plate.



We're up 2-1 - they are at bat with 1 out and 1 on. Base hit and throw to the plate...our catcher block the plate with his foot and applies the tag on the runner's head before he can touch the plate. Ump calls safe...catcher throws off mask....ump yells at catcher....we ALL (except the umps) see the replay which shows the runner is out. Result is game is now tied at 2 each and still only 1 out. Next batter gets a hit and LSU goes up 3-2.

Like I said...you've seen it all before.

Looking forward to a good game today. RTR and GG!

If they put shore on the mound it's going to be on Walters to win it for us. If not it's anyone's guess at how we do. I really think we are going to come out fired up to try to win, but like I said shore could kill any emotionally edge we could possibly posses.

Anyway, RTR

He has a stomach virus...........the same one his roommate had, the other day.

So, hope springs eternal, but I wouldn't go to Vegas with that.
