Here's the way I look at this whole scenario. First, I don't feel threatened enough by one of my neighbor's kid's toy drone to shoot it down. I live ''on the lake and in the woods'', and it's not illegal for me to shoot my weapons whenever I please. But my neighbors all know and respect me so I have no concerns along that line.
Now if you're doing something that gives your local (or state, fed's) leo's a reason to fly drones around your home, place of business, etc., then I wouldn't be trying to shoot them down if I were you. It just might tack on a few more years in jail after they finally catch up to you.
But if it is just neighborhood kids flying drones around your house, and you feel like it's invading your privacy, and you're not man enough to go talk to their parents about it, then I feel for you.
