I agree. There's no upside for Trump to debate the Democrat also-ran. Trump will have debates with Clinton soon. Why debate a guy who's not going to win anything?

I haven't watched a debate at all this cycle, but I might actually watch this one as I suspect I'll end up sore from laughter...
How many days out does it take to plan a nationally televised debate. I see no specific date or even a station anouncing it would pick it up. We are nearing the end, and do not have much time left. I think it's just a publicity stunt and won't happen.
BTW : I think sanders and trump are so far apart in terms of political theology and even how they view the world that the debate would be very awkward. It would be like an exclusive football fan arguing with an exclusive basketball fan about soccer.

I don't know seebell. All Trump has to do is talk a few minutes about current conditions in Venezuela as the model for what socialism creates. Then he can sit back and throw elbows and insults at Bernie the rest of the night.
I believe the reason there will be no further Hillary-Bernie debates is because The Commission on Presidential Debates has declared a moratorium on the use of "Wall Street" and "gun violence." Too many registered voters were falling ill from drinking games.
She'll refer to it as "the boys club" and accuse them of misogyny for not including her.

I disagree. Trump the pure capitalist pig versus Bernie the tired old failed socialist. Trump would have the opportunity to berate liberal academia and all its tenets while mortally wounding Hillary in the process by ignoring her. Bernie's ideas are so far out there I think Trump would jump at the prospect of proving what a nut he is.

Why waste time debating a loser when he has an election to win. He has nothing to gain from this. Trump isn't intimidated by a commie who doesn't even have the backbone to smash Hillary in a debate. I've seen him and he has no energy at all.Trump is a flake. He has now chickened out.
Bernie lost his chance during the first Dem. debate. Instead of pressing Hillary on the email scandal, he chose instead to minimize it and urge folks to 'move on'.
Maybe he shouldn't say one thing one minute (day/week/year) then reverse himself the next. Its one thing to change your mind as new facts become available but Trump seems to do it primarily for present convenience.
You should be more concerned with the fact that Hillary recently refused to debate Sanders in California.
