I don't put a lot of stock in the SEC media bozos (except Cecil) but at least they didn't pick a team that wasn't picked to win their division as the champion like they did last year...

I didn't see a link to the All SEC team.
It hasn't been released yet. I just went ahead and put it in the title thinking it would be released right after the poll. Clearly, I was wrong in thinking they could tally up those votes fast.

The guy who picked Vandy to win the SEC needs to get back on his meds.

Maybe it was a protest vote? "GUYS! We're bad at this and should stop!"

5 for 27 on picking the champion...

Re: 2016 Media Preseason SEC Predictions (All-SEC Teams and Poll)

The All SEC team is now in the OP.
I think I'm good with most of these. Notable wonderings: Surprised at where Tim Williams landed and actually thought Pierschbacher would be 2nd team - maybe his position is stacked with talent but I thought he had a very rock-steady season in 2015. Also expecting Marlon Humphrey to play better than this ranking.

Two things about the SEC team.

1. Williams should be first team. Other than that, I think they did a solid job.

2. Leonard Fournette wasn't a unanimous choice on first team. Whoever didn't vote for him is an idiot.

Same dudes picked Auburn to win the SEC and Alabama to win the West (that Auburn is in) last year. Hmmm

Can you point me somewhere that explains both systems (or at least the new one) I hadn't heard that info.
The new system is points based, weighted that you don't have someone voted to win the division but not winning the SEC. Last year it worked like this, as an example.

Say you had 100 voters. 60 chose Alabama to win the west, 40 chose Auburn. Well, obviously in the poll, Alabama is west champion. Now, of those 60 to vote for Bama, only 30 pick us to win the SECCG. The Auburn voters, on the other hand, all pick Auburn. The east, in this hypothetical, has 4 teams splitting all the votes. Well with that, Auburn has 40 votes to win the SEC, beating out Alabama by ten votes.

First places votes were worth 7 points.
Second place votes were worth 6 points.
Third place voters were worth 5 points.
Fourth place votes were worth 4 points.
Fifth place votes were worth 3 points.
Sixth place votes were worth 2 points.
Seventh place votes were worth 1 point.

I didn't recognize the guy voted 2nd string running back from Vandy and the 3rd stringer from KY, but I wouldn't trade them for Bo S.

I think if BS was an experienced talent (had play much at all last year) he'd been 3rd team.

If he stays healthy this year, I don't know if there's anybody we'd rather have back there, including LF, Chub or Hurd.
