Russia could do Greece, and Europe as a whole, a solid and wipe Turkey from the face of the earth as far as I'm concerned.
I'm reading on another website where the Turks were basically cracking down on the Gulen movement by purging many of the teachers. I had to look it up. Here are some details of the Gulen movement.

Unless things have changed ultra dramatically, the people of Turkey generally are friendly, loyal, hospitable, and worship America. Their current govt. is a different animal, and the worst thing that could have happened was for the coup to fail. So we'll have to deal with the govt, and probably sooner than we want.
