.Those with physically demanding jobs tend to induce in pain relieving concoctions. The roofer is more likely to drink after work than cubicle man. I do not excuse, but I understand why a high intensity S & C coach who is not a spring chicken, whom must maintain himself physically, might fall pray to drink. I do not condone, but I understand how it could happen.
There are stresses involved in any high-level job - he just got busted making a mistake many make every day. Like you, I'm not excusing it, but his job is more stressful (demanding, cut-throat, 'what have you done lately') than 99% of the people most of us know...

Thanks to strings attached to federal highway funds, I think .08 BAC is the legal limit now in all 50 states. He was definitely legally impaired.
