at least he got to work with two of the prettier actresses (imho) in american film, madeline kahn and bernadette peters

I'm sorry to hear this - I grew up with this man and his wonderful sense of humor.

On the subject of working with beautiful actresses....in agreement with previous posts....and Kelly LeBrock says hello....(and don't forget Gilda!)

I saw him standing in the doorway of a theatre in NYC on a rainy December afternoon in 2005. I did a double take when I saw him, my wife was like its Gene Wilder. He looked at me and gave me a thumbs up when he saw my Alabama parka [emoji1] as he was getting in a limo.
