Not a lot of detail on what exactly defines the K-gun. But it sounds to me a lot like what Kiffin has evolved in Tuscaloosa.

Didn't we run the two tight-end set in 2011?

We've seen the evolution of the TE back into offenses after the position all but faded. It won't be long before you see the FB return as well.

Our best formations in 2012 were often two TE based. We absolutely annihilated UGA's run defense with it in the 2012 SECCG. In fact, in that game we often employed two TEs to the offense's strong side then ran that direction.
