By far my favorite game in the series we've had with SC. This is a great video narrated by Tom Roberts of the 1971 game against the Trojans. This was one of the biggest wins in our history IMO.

Huge huge win for Bama as a huge huge underdog. It kicked off the seventies and was key to one of the most successful decades in our history. Thanks for the post.

I just read on Bill Battle's blog that two players from that game--Sam Cunningham and Johnny Musso--will be honorary captains for their respective teams in tomorrow night's game.

Thanks for posting.

I wrote a big long paragraph about the doofus on the USC/Vandy game last night, "educating" us on social impacts of that game. But I realized that part was non sports so I deleted it.
