Great win and I hope Ole Miss loses the rest of their SEC games this season on last second TDs.

Great album - my favorite band of all time!
Me too from age 12. They asked favorite bands of techies/geeks and other academia of our generation a few years ago, and Rush was #1. We have members Rush and bama2112 that post frequently. Thanks.

I've finally calmed down enough to gather my thoughts. Today's game is exactly the reason why I stopped posting and reading the game threads. I did my fair share of yelling and screaming in this game, most of the time directed at Kiffin. I've never seen a coach who was so brilliant, and yet so hard headed at the same time.

This was the best downhill running game we've had all season, and yet we went through stretches where we didn't run at all. The jet sweeps and screens only work in well timed spots, and usually not at all against SEC defenses. You look at Hurts through most of the first half, and he was only averaging 4 yds a completion. Yet at the same time, when Kiffin was right, we were dominant. Comes with the territory I guess, but I still pull my hair out a lot in these types of games.

He almost reminds me of a quarterback who gets locked on to one receiver, and doesn't go through progressions. Almost every play he either goes to Stewart, Ridley, Hurts, or run up the middle. Few check downs, rarely does Howard get involved, and it seems as other weapons are under utilized as well. Not sure how much is placalling, or execution, but it seems like his plays don't have a lot of options unless it's an RPO.

With that said, even with the frustration, I don't know many OCs out there who I'd rather see developing our freshman qbs. He's one of the best offensive minds out there, I just don't understand all of his inconsistencies.

Most importantly though, we saw Hurts growing up. He made some mistakes, but he was clutch, he was composed, and he was patient. When he was running the ball, he was lights out. He gives our offense a dynamic that we've never had before. Seemed like he still needs some work gaining timing and chemistry with the receivers, and also he needs some of the good ones to not be dropped. I fully believe that he has among the highest upside one of our quarterbacks has ever had.

Also proud of our defense. The offense sputtered in stretches, but they never let us get out of the game. It was obvious at times that they knew they had to takeover the game, and they did. This will most likely be the best overall defense we ever have.

Great win today. Promising that we could play as poorly as we did in the first half, and still come away victorious.

I now bid you all an exhausted Roll Tide.

I'm happy to death Bama held on for a win, but I just hated that whole game. The officiating was bad to the point of embarrassing. I just don't like Ole Miss under Hugh Freeze. I don't like that hurry up offense, it just makes for bad football. They always get these crazy breaks, and the refs were deep in their pocket. I couldn't even enjoy this game, it was ugly football. This is why Coach Saban asked if this is the kind of football we want.

So how did the Allen pick six look? It was fun to hear Eli call it.
He grabbed the ball, got his grip, and took off. Seemed like it took him awhile, but he did fine for a DL returning a long interception. And he avoided the fumble at the end, from a OM player who came up and dug at the ball. Allen was like an aircraft carrier with destroyer escorts except his destroyers started celebrating a little too soon.

HAHA..After reading some posts in this thread I'm glad I decided not to get on the board during the game..At all..I had that feeling it was going to be one of those emotional draining kinda games, one of those games, that you could post something out of frustration & get yourself banned type games..I've never been banned & this was one of those games, that brings out the irrational emotional posts that can be ban worthy..LOL
Yeah I bailed quick too. I too was just marveling at CLK's play calling. Never gave up on the team though. 60 minutes of war baby!!!

I think Ole Miss sold its soul to the devil similar to Auburn/Chiz/Cam. But I have to hand it to them because cheating is only half the battle. Somehow Freeze gets that team motivated to play us unlike any other SEC team. Most teams would fold up shop and quit after being out score 45-6 but they kept fighting.

Refs we atrocious. We got banged up. Freshman QB got rattled a bit and somehow we pulled out the win. I'll take it.
