COLOMBIA, Mo. | Christian Payne became a frequent target out of the backfield for Jacob Eason in the first half Saturday against Missouri.
Eason and Payne connected on four passes for 34 yards, including the junior fullback’s first touchdown for the Bulldogs on a 2-yard screen.
Eason hit the 6-foot-1, 242-pounder from Prince Avenue Christian later on a screen that Payne took 19 yards and then for 8 yards on another on Georgia’s final drive of the second quarter.
