Wake Forrest over us!
Alabama at 10th...?
I was going to say... it will get straightened out as the year goes on. Not that it means anything, really, with the committee deciding.Colley's system is pretty good but it - admittedly - really requires around eight data points to be accurate.
wake forrest is 9th. that should tell you everything you need to knowAlabama at 10th...?
I think I know what happened to that fifteen year old from awbern...
The result of the Louisville-Clemson game might narrow that gap.Just plugging into their "play god" mode, Alabama beating both A&M and Tennessee (if those were our next two games) would put us at over .95. That'd be first place by a full .1, absurdly high.
That's Coleco vision!!Yo Colley, the 80's called and they want their Commodore 64 back.
Yep, Sagarin has LSU rated over Wisconsin, despite Wiscy beating them and LSU having two losses. That said, the computer rankings play to a mean and usually need more data points before they start to truly reflect accurate rankings.Computer rankings this early in the season are almost always screwy.
Yup, and not only that but the BCS would drop the outliers in computer rankings, so by the end of the season the computer rankings tended to make a lot more sense. But they can be really weird early on, and admittedly still do weird things near the end of the season (like rank a 6 loss team extremely high due to SoS).Computer rankings this early in the season are almost always screwy.
I would definitely argue against it given that Oklahoma is ranked higher than Houston and Ole Miss is ranked higher than FSU. The Massey poll does look reasonable however. As always, Sagarin is hard to argue with.
Jimbo's not too happy with his team right now.I would definitely argue against it given that Oklahoma is ranked higher than Houston and Ole Miss is ranked higher than FSU. The Massey poll does look reasonable however.
