True, 17 points is high for a point spread, but we did beat them 59-0 on their last visit. Fifty nine to zero. Surely nothing on that order should be expected, but our run game matches up great against them and our pass defense bears no resemblance to the unmotivated and very different 2013 Sugar Bowl team.

My only problem with the point spread is that it will just add more fire to the aTm team. They already felt like Alabama was getting all of the attention. They will see this as further proof of the lack of respect that they feel like they have earned.
Still, as long as Alabama comes into this game with the right attitude, aTm is going to get smoked.

I just hope we don't have a 4th down at the A&M 40 yard line. I like Verne and Gary (and I realize I may be in the minority on that note), but I HATE hearing Verne do his now well-rehearsed little shtick about Adam Griffith attempting a 56 yard field goal.
You are definitely in the minority. I got SICK of hearing them insinuate that Foster did something illegal on the screen by holding the RB, which was a perfectly legal move. Then Gary tried to insinuate that we only won big because UcheaT had so many injuries. They were losing that game no matter what. I truly hope someone outbids them when the contract is up because CBS is horrible and that definitely includes Verne and Gary.

Yeah, the money line is the best way of telling how serious Vegas feels about the actual W/L outcome of a game. These money lines demonstrate a serious doubt on the part of the casinos and bettors that aTm can actually win the game. Cover? Maybe - but not win outright.
Remember, we did not play our best game. We dropped a couple of passes and missed several more. Our Freshman QB has played in three high profile away games in front of hostile crowds. Now he will be in front of a friendly crowd and I expect the passing will improve.
We are 136 yards per game better than aTm. that ought to be worth a couple of TD's.

Yikes. -900? More going on here than just A&M doesn't defend the rushing game very well. Maybe bettors are just saying Tennessee played A&M pretty even in College Station and look what Alabama did to them in Knoxville.
Barring a rash of injuries and the dreaded let down after a big game/before an off week, I expect us to win. But I wouldn't bet on the game at those levels.

On the surface level it feels like disrespect for A&M... But when you take a closer look it's honestly not crazy. There's a very good chance Bama wins by three TDs or more.
I edited your post to highlight this - this is the first season I can recall where at this point, I'm not worried about the team showing up flat - they seem to have that 'it' factor. They may prove me wrong in the future, but they just show up, execute at an extremely high level, and as long as they don't relax in the second half, they destroy people.

Right on. I think we have been flat like twice this season, first half against OM and the second half against Arky. The 45-6 run Bama went on at OM proved that even though it may be starting flat that it will come on strong in the end. Arky was out of it in the first half and Bama was really flat after going up 42-17.
This team could be sitting lovely come the middle of January. The scary thing is, this team hasn't reached its peak yet. There are so many areas to get better, even on defense!
