There are pro and con arguments for off weeks. AU was just coming off one while this was, like our own, 8 straight games without a rest.We will see about the barn; they were playing against a processed pork product yesterday.

Very good points. The Barn won't be able to run on us like they have been lately. You remember how we ran at will inside against Arky (and Tennessee and TAMU for that matter) but we had a lot of drives stall out because Lane called plays running laterally or threw uncompleted long passes? Yeah - well AU didn't do that. They only threw threw ball 12 times and had 89 yards passing.
That being said - I think Lane is trying bring Jalen along as a passer. A lot of our play calls at times in games dang near look like scrimmage work. Malzahn is coaching for his job. Running all up and down the field on a team with a terrible rush defense makes perfect sense for him. Malzahn needs impressive wins.
Their defense is the real deal though.
Yeah Arky looked like they just flat out didn't want to be there and the Barners did what any team in that position was supposed to do ... they took advantage of it and played to win. And yes they are a better team, just wondering how fans are going to react if we blow them out again though.I am sure Arkansas was running on fumes last night, but auburn is still a much better team after week 8 than Arkansas.
