Scarlett may not be the most talented back JMac's coached but he's got the mentality of his good'uns up this way.
Scarlett needs to stay on the field more...you don't have the rotations you had here in Tuscaloosa, Jim.
I think the NFL will disagree with your last two statements. We will see in April.
Appleby has to get some runs in on the option.....we need to establish the run and wear down their D.....
I think Fournette will be a good NFL back...I just think he has some limitations that will be more evident against highly talented defensive fronts he'll see in the NFL. He has the same problem as Henry where he's more of an off-tackle runner despite his size because he takes a step or two more to get up to speed than most smaller backs. Alabama really played that to great effect the last two years. You keep outside contain, force him to plant and restart back towards the interior then gang tackle.
Time for our defense to make a statement....I know we can do it.....complete stop or turnover....either one would be fine with me....
