Pretty clear it was a wide open field for the Heisman compared to the last few seasons.

When 5 players are invited, there is no player worthy of the award that year. No one has set themselves apart.

Peppers being selected over Jonathan Allen is a joke. Can't be to mad as a Bama though because I still can't believe Henry won over McCaffrey last year. Not that Henry wasn't worthy but because of the media love fest with McCaffrey..

Compare this to Peppers stats above. I'm fine with the other 4 but would like to know on what basis was Peppers selected. He's a good player but doesn't have any stats or "Heisman moments" to warrant making the final five..

Peppers is there as a result of a pr campaign and being played both ways when the games are out of hand.

However, it's a 2 man race, Jackson or Watson.

My vote is for Watson. His team has now gone back to back years to the CFP. He also gave us one heck of a game. Probably the one QB I am not looking forward to facing in the playoffs.
