Now this is something I can get behind. Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan & Syria have proven to be disasters. Egypt...well, thank God for their military.

It depends on how much those "special interest" groups weigh on him. There are lot of bankers, military industrial complex and others sucking at the government teat.

The knee-jerk, according to Peters, is that the US supports keeping bad agents in power. When their people throw the bums out, we end up getting blamed.
This is sort of the counter argument.
