This is not a rumor unless Nikita himself is trying to start it.

On facebook, I noticed where he mentioned to a friend that he may ask to be moved to DB.

mods can confirm this if they've heard anything about it too.. maybe he has asked already and that is why he hasn't been playing on the offensive side of the ball too much lately.. or maybe he was just messing around (didn't seem like it to me) anyway I know what I read.

I'm just passing this along.. delete if necessary

Kind of funny all the hype we had for Nikita and Jimmy and neither one of has contributed squat this year for one reason or another.

The only reason to be happy about those two players' situation is that they really arent contributing because others are stepping up (see McCoy and Terry Grant) and playing better rather than them being just bad.

And both are *stunning* athletes. I'd really love to see them on the field...

are jj and ns really that talented? it is what it is. they're not playing. from the sound of things jj has a talent for not doing what he needs to do to see playing time. stover may have the same talent. stover to defense sounds like a good idea to me .they need some help .

Don't really, at this point in time. However, I don't see how anybody could really be surprised at this point. I guess the only question would have to be why not earlier? And, I guess, the only answer which would occur to me would be the greater than unexpected progress of the players ahead of each one...

JJ has a healing ankle injury and thats why his playing time has been cut. Obviously others are playing well around him but thats not why he hasn't been in the game. If you watch special teams you will see why JJ is not going to play LB. He gets his drawers shook off. Thats not a knock on him its just the truth.

Anything is possible, but it is hard for me to believe this. If Stover asked for a move, he must know something, but we are losing 3 wr this year and as a senior Stover should be in for a lot of pt next year.

We are, but Hanks has already played and both Brandon Gibson and Marquis Maze are redshirting. Add Julio Jones, who I think we'll get, and he'll play, along with B.J. Scott and Melvin Ray. You've also got Devonta Bolden and Destin Hood in that mix.

Right now, we don't have a strong safety. Rashad Johnson has become a real strength for us (I watched him sniff out the play a dozen times against UGA, and in most cases the LB would listen to him and go where he was told), but Marcus Carter just isn't getting the job done. Sharrief may now be hurt (shoulder), so there goes the depth.

This move might make sense for everyone.

On top of that, I think Mike McCoy looks like a leader on the field (not to mention his great play on the field). I think WR will be fine even if Stover lines up on defense.

i think the safety position with marcus carter has been very weak this season, mr carter seems to be having trouble in coverage help, and making tackles near the line of scrimmage.
