Anyone doing anything special for this game? I'm baking a whole fish and steaming some vegetables. The rest of the day will be foraging for yourself. There is plenty of cheese, hard salami, crackers and fruit to snack on.
I could eat that every day till I grew gills.I gotta work, so probably just some boiled shrimp or oysters on the half shell...
Next week for the Barner Bowl I'm making turkey gumbo, turkey salad and frying up a batch of chicken wings tossed in some Crystal Hot Sauce, some homemade blue cheese dressing and celery sticks. Nice and easy meal and lots of leftovers will be used up.I'm thinking something easy as well ... maybe some buffalo wings and a few appetizers.
Vodka and Cranberry should always be mixed in odd number batches. For a small gathering 15-17 batches should be plenty.I'm a little late posting but I grilled some very nice rib eye steaks using my super secret process. Baked some potatoes, and tossed/steamed some lovely Asian vegetable, made my killer grilled onions and some buttered rolls rounded things out nicely.....for desert we had more than one Vodka and Cranberry .
I love game day!
