The film, Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, has been panned by internet critics and it is thought film executives are less than enthusiastic about director Steven Spielberg's effort.

I don't even have to see it to know I'm going to be disappointed in it. The others were so great and this one looks kinda cheesy. Too much CGI in it makes it look like the mummy returns or something. And don't even get me started about putting Shia Labeof in it.
And bring back Karen Allen? What is that about? What was the last good movie she was in?

I don't even have to see it to know I'm going to be disappointed in it.
And yet, I know I'm going to go see it anyway, against my instincts. Kind of like the most recent couple of Star Wars movies. Wierd, especially since I don't go see too many movies. (I've sort of filed "conscientious objector" status to movie prices for guano-like movies...)

Saw it at the midnight showing. It had its moments, but for some real, it kind of felt flat. Maybe a repeat viewing will be in order.
What about the CGI jungle and effects?

The CGI is one of the problems I have with the film. Everything looks too polished, clean, and sterile. The old films were great because it looked as if they had a layer of grit on them.
The effects are pretty good, however, and some of the chase sequences are very entertaining... especially the one that takes place inside the warehouse seen at the end of Raiders (It has a nice little nod to that as well).
