The Catch vs The Blackout

Share

My wife said she would buy me either The Catch or The Blackout. I can get either one for $450. What would you do?

Re: The Catch vs The Blackout

The Catch is a better bargain at $450 given current market values.

Re: The Catch vs The Blackout

I have them both, although not in the size that cost that much (don't have that kind of wall space, either). I also like them both, so I'm just not much help at all, am I? Sorry. BUT - I did graduate from the same high school the Tyrone Prothro did - not that it matters.

Re: The Catch vs The Blackout

Considering all that TP contributed to our program, and the sacrifice he made by having suffered that injury on our field, I don't think there's any question that The Catch will have more staying power as one of the all-time favorites. It's like that goal line stand pic. Both are representative of the best that Alabama football has to offer. Both are hanging on my office wall.

I have The Blackout...and although I believe it is his best work in terms of realism...I wish I had The Catch.

The catch, definitely. Pro is an icon and his painting worth more and will continue to go up in value. Plus it is just a better painting.

Good choice one of my favorites. I have that one also. I got Pro to sign it. I also have the blackout and got JP's john hancock on it as well. I want to get julio to sign the other side of it.
