RECIPE: Garlic Toast

Preheat oven to 450F

Mix softened butter with extra virgin olive oil. Mix in chopped or minced garlic. Some people like large slices of fresh garlic some prefer a smaller dice or mince. Use as much garlic as you like.

Cut your loaf on the diagonal about 1" thick. Spread the garlic butter on each slice and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Sometimes I add Parmesan or Romano cheese.

Toast directly on the oven rack for about 4-5 minutes till toasted. Time to the crispness you like. You can also do this on the grill outdoors or in a toaster oven.
